Hey its Michael, I'm a UX designer at King, working on Candy Crush Saga's core gameplay experience, serving millions of players every day. In a world where every second of attention is precious, I design features that keep players coming back for more, while building out next generation of tools that empower our teams to ship content faster.
Previously, I led UX at Ubisoft London, transforming the legacy 'Hungry Shark World' into a fully fledged modern live service game. I also led the two-year development of Hungry Shark Primal, designing interfaces and systems, from core gameplay to meta progression to monetization strategies.
Game mechanics fascinate me – they get to the heart of human motivations, both intrinsic and extrinsic. My expertise lies in understanding these core drivers: the satisfaction of mastery, the thrill of discovery, and the joy of meaningful progression.
